The Light Within

 I still speak

Although the noises vanish my voice  

Since the melody of peace  

Still sings within my heart

I know,  

No one can truly know  

What my spirit says 

But I believe,  

One day you will sing together  

The song I sing today silently 

You see my scars,  

But I say they are stars.  

I pluck my scars  

And wear them as stars

If I burn as the sun,  

My light will make the whole world one

I know the day will come  

When you will know my sound.  

I used to be a light 

Although you chose me for the  night.
